If you have any ideas or resources available like writing skills, computer skills, financial capabilities, or anything else you feel would benefit the uprising of a new independent voice for Texas, the bigger the army the better. All politics is local, so we would start there but with a national vision. We haven’t received an official endorsement of, but we have the personal blessings of Dean Barkley, Laura Stromberg, Chris Duel (radio talk show host in San Antonio), and already a list of 15-20 people wanting to lend a helping hand.
We don’t know where we’re taking this, but we feel there needs to be a voice for all the concerns of independently minded people, whether you lean left or lean right, and we need to keep the momentum going through the next election and then the next.

So apparently nothing has coming of this yet, and most likely nothing will. If anything changes, I’ll update.
**UPDATE Friday November 10th 5:35pm**
Kinky was on the Chris Duel Show today from his ranch. Chris was talking about a fund raiser KTSA was having, and Kinky made a $5000 contribution to the Red Cross to help San Antonio military families, which was totally spontaneous. He said, “I won the money from a bet on Lieberman, what goes around comes around.” The highest contribution the whole day, and in fact KTSA’s highest ever. Chris commended Kinky on his positive and motivational campaign.
Rick Perry will call Kinky on Monday. Kinky said, “I will not sell out. It has to be good for Texas, good for Perry, and good for Kinky.” He went on to say, “Rick lost the cowboys, and he lost the Indians, and he lost the farmers, and he lost the spirit of Texas,” speculating as to what this hoopla is all about.
So apparently, Kinky and Perry will speak on the phone on Monday. We’ll report back with any new details.[...]
In our efforts to be a voice for independently minded people, maybe we should listen to what the people are saying. So here you go folks. Rant away.
Where are you from? What are your top three issues you’d like to see change? What are some specific local issues facing you or your community? What are some statewide and national issues that really hit home with you. What’s on your mind Texas, and hell, you too America, what’s bothering you? Be articulate and do a little research. Offer solutions or suggestions. This is your time, use it.

So here we are, the day after the storm, the day we hoped would end in sunlight. Well, no day ends in sunlight, but everyday starts with it. As I look outside, the sun is actually shining brighter than I’ve seen in awhile. [...]
“Now that the campaign is stopped, I’m going to say something that all of you have heard me say before. But I want you to think about it now because now is the most important time that you have heard it. And this is the real message of this campaign and you’ll hear it in a different way because I am no longer a candidate.â€
He then repeated the key closing line of his stump speech: “The biggest lie that people like me tell people like you at election time is that, If you vote for me, I’ll solve your problems. The truth is the power is in your hands, not mine.â€
This has been a long and valuable experience for all those involved. I have to go to school right now, but rest assure, we are here to stay. Cody, Rob, Jeremy, Andrew, and a lot of others have emailed us already, and for everyone’s information, we’re not going anywhere except forward. We’re working a new project to keep this independent movement going. We are unsure of the details, or where we’re headed, but our hearts and passion will not be wasted.
