Testimonial To the Kinkster
Dear Kinky,
So here we are, the day after the storm, the day we hoped would end in sunlight. Well, no day ends in sunlight, but everyday starts with it. As I look outside, the sun is actually shining brighter than I’ve seen in awhile.
As I sit here literally in tears, having just made it back from Austin from our Victory Party, which is exactly what it was, I think what you have done me. You made me care about Texas. You made me feel like the “little feller” can make a difference. You made me put hundreds of hours into helping Texas rather than watching TV or wasting opportunities. You made me realize again, that anything is possible, which for a short time, I started to doubt. You made me realize what our government should aim to achieve, common sense and common honesty. You’ve inspired me to take on the system to expose it for what it is, and then offer creative solutions to help fix it. You’ve made me realize that 1,367,957 Texas voters are also not satisfied with our two-party system, which is more votes than the Democratic nominee, 1,306,980. You have also inspired hundreds of thousands of people to feel the same.
You sir, have done a great thing for Texas. Thank you Kinky for making me care.
To: Jewford, Laura, Dean, Chris Duel, Jeremy, Cody, Megan, Alexis, Danni, David, Phil, Rush, Steve, all Bexar Co. volunteers, and every other Kinky staffer, volunteer, and supporter who has put so much time into the future of Texas,
Thank You So Much. You guys are truly inspirational. You woke up a sleeping giant.
Thanks to all supporters of GetKinky too. You too are a part of history.
With the kind of love you show your family,
Robert Hinojosa
Thanks to my family who is my backbone. You guys mean the world to me, and thanks for supporting me through this journey.

I am deeply heartbroken today and that is a first for me because of a political race. But I agree with the words written above. I felt more connected with Texas politics (and Texas) than ever before. But I now feel that Texas died a little yesterday…
Thank you Kinky!

Heartbroken is the word. For the first time in a long time, however, I had hope that we could actually turn things around. Kinky also reminded me of all that I used to love about this great state.
We need to get our ships in-line and change a few of the rules of the game before the next election, but if we do that, I truly believe we can pull this off.
There’s got to be a way to force the other candidates out into the light of day in multiple debates, etc. We’ve also got to try to get an audit trail in place for our voting. There are way too many reports of how easy it is to hack the electronic voting machines and optical scanners. There have even been whisteblowers telling about how they were told to do this to help a certain candidate.

KINKY, WE MAY HAVE LOST THIS GOV RACE IN THE EYES OF SOME, BUT I TRULY BELIEVE DEEP IN MY HEART THAT IT IS ONLY THE BIGINNING. WE MADE A STAND, AND THE ENTIRE STATE STOOD UP AND TOOK NOTICE. THE SHOTS WERE HEARD AROUND THE WORLD. YOU MADE A GREAT IMPACT THIS TIME AROUND. NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO STOP AND REST. WE MUST ALL CONTINUE THE FIGHT. IT WILL BE TIME TO VOTE AGAIN BEFORE YOU KNOW IT. LET’S SHOW THEM ALL “TEXANS AIN’T NO QUITTERS”. WE NEED YOU IN OFFICE! WE NEED YOU DOING THE RIGHT THING. WE HAVE NEEDED “NEW BLOOD” FOR A LONG TIME. GOOD, TRUE, TEXAS BLOOD. WE NEED YOU KINKY! MY HUSBAND AND I CALL OURSELVES KINKY’S BAND OF ARMADITTOS! WE VOTED FOR YOU IN THE NOVEMBER 2006 GOV RACE AND WE WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT YOU AS LONG AS YOU NEED US! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOU DO!

I am a native Texan who was totally disappointed in my fellow Texans when Kinky did not win the Governor’s election. We definitely needed a change for the better in Texas & the ones that did not vote for him really flubbed up! I stand behind him to this day & will back him if he decides to run again.Maybe the Texans registered to vote will have the intelligence if we’re lucky enough to get a chance to elect him. What town does Kinky live in?
